The Magic Tree is a must-see during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. This is the 8th year for the 85-foot Sycamore tree to show off its 8+ miles of LED lights at The Crossing in Columbia, Missouri.
The Crossing invites everyone to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Magic Tree every evening from 5-10 p.m.
In keeping with tradition, the Magic Tree lighting ceremony will be on Friday, November 29.
This year, the lighting will begin in the sky with a Christmas-themed drone show and countdown to the tree lighting. The show starts at 5:30 p.m. Bring your own chairs or blanket and gather with family and friends to enjoy the show—along with free kettle corn, hot chocolate, and Christmas music.
While you can enjoy the tree from 5-10 p.m. every evening, here are a few highlights of additional tree festivities:

Who says tailgating is only for football? From 6-8 p.m. enjoy hotdogs, kettle corn and Christmas music while you play yard games and drink hot chocolate under the tree. - Live Music – Friday, December 13
Come by for a free, outdoor concert. We’ll have multiple live music artists joining us, including Mason Ridge Bluegrass Band and Indie Artist, Johnny Knox. The tree lights, fire pits, and live music will provide a treasured escape from the Christmas hustle.
