We love to belong. We love to fit in. We love to be included.
But in a broken world, fitting in can be a dangerous thing.
Instead, the Bible calls us to be outsiders. After all, Jesus was an outsider.
"So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured.”
Hebrews 13:12-13
Now, during this Lenten season, you're invited to join Jesus "outside the gate" in order to prepare to worship him at Easter.
For the seven weeks of Lent, embark on the journey of missing out. Along the way, you might find that "missing out" is the path to a joyful life with Jesus.
Sign up now to receive the Joyful Outsiders Lent Devotional, written by Patrick Miller, delivered directly to your inbox beginning Ash Wednesday (March 5).
These emails will be delivered once a week on Wednesday mornings, starting with a special introduction email on Ash Wednesday and ending with Holy Week (March 5 to April 16).
